Monster Peak
What a discovery!
A few days ago, I found a strange box at a street market that contained a cartridge and some promotional materials. The game is called Monster Peak, and it was developed by a company named Pimpongu Soft, which I'd never heard of before. It seems the game was never officially released, although development dates back to 1995. I dumped the cartridge using a flash reader board and converted it into a playable ROM to preserve it so anyone could try it out. It looks like a limited demo version of the game, but there's a floppy disk in the box as well, which might contain a release with the full version, so if there is enough interest in the game, I might consider extracting it. I've also attached the demo in .gb and .pocket format so you can play on emulators or even real hardware.
Controls (for web)
It's more enjoyable on mobile devices as it adds touch controls!

About Monster Peak
From what I've been able to test, it's a JRPG very much in line with titles of the era, featuring a fun turn-based combat system where we control a human who must escape from a prison where creatures are held as gladiators in a huge coliseum. Monster Peak is the name of the city where the rest of the game seems to take place, although I haven't been able to find a way to progress beyond what the demo offers. There are some hidden things in the game that I still haven’t been able to discover, so I hope you can help me. I'm eager to know more!
